We’re going to start doing regular media updates showing off various features in Mirage as we work towards our Beta and full release in 2017. This time: our exchange-based combat system.
Melee battles in Mirage use an exchange system; a player starts an action, taking the Initiative, and the opponent is able to respond to this action with a variety of options and may be able to claim the Initiative for themselves. Depending on the course of a fight, there may be several exchanges back and forth with melee attacks & defense, magic abilities, or evasive actions. Each fight relies on your own actions and those of your opponent… and those of your allies and multiple opponents!
